During its 4-century old history many Franciscan Brothers lived in the Convento S. Maria del Giglio in Bolsena (Viterbo). From 1997 the structure is inspired and looked after by 'Punti di Vista', a noprofit organization which promotes knowlegde and culture exchanges, a life style that values simplicity and beauty with respect for people and environment, and actively encourages and offers tourism for all, art events as learning settings, cultural experiences, seminars, initiatives of solidarity, sharing and social transformation.

In the centre of Italy, near the largest vulcanic lake of Europe, in the city of the Eucharistic Miracle and along the pilgirims' path named via Francigena, a building with an old tradition of hospitality and the Franciscan way to peacemaking are 're'interpreted with eclecticism and creativity.

Putting yourself into action, confronting yourself, searching, meditating, working together to create a piece of world marked with harmony, to unity and non-violent relationships.

A lay community - Franciscan in spirit - is part of the association. The people of the association who live in the convent, experience the sharing, the common work, the simplicity of the natural rythm and they take care of the hospitality on a volunteer basis.
